EFT (short for Emotional Freedom Technique) is a relatively new and very powerful body-mind technique that was synthesized by Gary Craig. Based on the Traditional Chinese Medicine model of accupuncture meridians, this technique can be used to overcome addictions, fears, and emotional traumas, and is a powerful tool for working with chronic pain and many physical issues.
This revolutionary technique is powerful when working with a therapist, however, it is also a simple tool that you can learn and use yourself. This technique works as a powerful reminder that healing starts with us, and always comes from within us, not from outside us.
I have had great results working with people on a number of issues, including:
Shoulder pain
Lower back pain
Smoking addiction
Food cravings
Fear of heights
Fear of flying
Weight loss
Childhood trauma*
Headaches
What is a Session Like?
In an EFT session, we will work in chairs facing one another.
The session is somewhat like talk-therapy, in that there will be a
lot of communication between us, but I I will be tapping various accupunture
points around your face, neck, torso and hands while we talk and repeat
statements alound. I will show you the points so that you can tap
them yourself and we will tap together.
It is amazing what can be accomplished in just one session. One of my clients was able to reduce a food craving completely for 2 months before needing to tap again. Although this is a dramatic result it is not uncommon. Typically with cravings or addictions, you will need to repeat the process with each craving for about 2 weeks or so, and then use it whenever necessary.
Many issues can be resolved in one session, but some issues are more complex and may take a few sessions to resolve.
If you'd like to learn more, please visit the EFT website, or give me a call. I love doing this work and am happy to answer any questions you have.
Pricing
An EFT session is $75/hr. EFT is best done in person, however, EFT can be combined with an astrological counseling session over the phone.
*Please note: EFT can bring up serious material. If you are working on serious issues that you're aware of already, and/or if you have received an official mental health diagnosis, I ask that you currently be under the care of a licensed mental health practioner before scheduling a session. Please discuss this with me beforehand. If during the course of our work, serious issues arise that you were previously unaware of, I will refer you to a licensed mental health professional for further exploration.
